Tart Bakery is owned and operated by Pastry Chef Kristen Massad. In 2004, Kristen realized her dream to open both a modern and vintage bakery. Going on almost 8 years of successful business, Tart is thrilled to participate in 2012′s Dallas Cupcake Camp and share our great love of cupcakes!
What makes a great cupcake? – unique flavors, very moist, and of course a made-from-scratch superb sweet cream or fudge icing!
Cupcake Tip? – One can never have too many cupcakes – and never enough frosting! Keep calm and eat some frosting!
What type of flavors will we bring to cupcake camp? – Our most popular flavors are Devils Food, Vanilla, Strawberry, Carrot and Red Velvet. We use a variety of frostings ranging from our delicious sweet cream to French Buttercream to melt in your mouth fudge icing. Our talented Pastry Chef, Nancy De Dios, will be participating in the Cupcake Contest and plans to bring some of our more unique flavors such as our “Passion Fruit Berry” cupcake – a vanilla cupcake with a Passion Fruit filling and a raspberry buttercream on top. Yum!
Our best selling cupcakes are our traditional vanilla with our famous sweet cream icing, our Devil’s Food (chocolate) cupcake with Fudge Icing. Our chocolate peanut butter and red velvet are also best sellers.
Outside of our standout cupcakes, Tart Bakery gives a uniquely contemporary flair to a French pastry style that is steeped in tradition. Our bakery offers great gifts items including ceramic cake stands, melamine French Bull plates & platters and several lines of whimsical aprons.
Tart offers a wide assortment of desserts that are as mouth-watering as they are aesthetically divine. They have become known for their flourless chocolate truffle cake, cake balls & Parisian french macaroons. For the indecisive shopper, or someone looking to appease a few different cravings at once, Tart provides a visually arresting assortment of delicious miniature pastries, including lemon meringue tartlets, mini eclairs, and heavenly glazed petit fours. For those with an East Coast appetite, Tart offers New York-style tea cookies by the pound as well as cannolis, big & small.
