I’m Tiffany Key, owner of Haute Mama Dessert Company in Allen, Texas. I am a professional baker. I am originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida but attended college at The University of Texas in Austin and have lived in Texas ever since. My entire family is from the deep south, so I grew up eating wonderful, made from scratch, comfort desserts. This had a huge influence on my baking as many of my recipes reflect traditional, southern flavors with a modern twist, but I also love being innovative and trying new flavor profiles. I will be bringing many different types of cupcakes like our brownie hot fudge sundae, chocolate toffee crunch, chocolate molten, banana caramel strawberry lemonade and many more! I was fortunate to be part of Cupcake Camp Dallas last year and it was an incredible experience. It was lovely seeing so many bakers come together who have a passion for cupcakes to help an amazing organization and I enjoyed seeing so many different types of cupcakes!
In baking cupcakes, and cooking in general, it is important to always use the highest quality ingredients. We only use European chocolate, real butter and Tahitian Vanilla in all of our cupcakes and you can definitely taste the difference! My tip is to always bake from scratch and to make sure you do not overmix your batter-it is the difference between a light, fluffy cupcake and a dense, heavy cupcake.
