Featured Baker: Kristina Kent

I am excited about joining Cupcake Camp Dallas again this year!  I just graduated from culinary school but I am still an amateur baker.  I sell cupcakes from my home bakery.

This year, our theme is “Frosting, the international language of love.” We’re all Texans now, but tell us a little bit about your heritage!  I am half Italian and thats the only half that counts! Haha! 

Where did you grow up? Where do you live now?  I grew up in lubbock Texas but I live in Lake Dallas now 

What type of cupcake will you be bringing to Cupcake Camp Dallas?  I am running with the theme this year. Since I am Italian, i will be doing an italian themed cupcake thid year…Limoncello!

Tell us a little bit about your experience with Cupcake Camp last year.  It was so much fun! I really enjoyed getting to try other cupcakes and getting to know other cupcake bakers!

What makes a great cupcake? A moist crumb and frosting that complements the cake. I dont think the cake should rely on the frosting, they should work together.
